Appointed by Burton Place (Manchester) Management Ltd to procure the BSF façade remediation works under the Building Safety Fund. BWP  Building and Project Consultants were appointed from the outset registering the scheme under the Building Safety Fund and administrating the BSF Portal throughout the project.

Our role

Responsible for procuring the full design team including Architect, Façade Engineer, Fire Engineer, Cost Consultant, Structural Engineer, Clerk of Works and Principal Designer. Works commenced in March 2022 and completed in October 2024. The scheme was procured on a design and build basis but with the detailed design developed in conjunction with the full design team with weekly site inspections undertaken throughout the project recording the detailing and quality of the works.

A number of variations arose during the project. BWP prepared several BSF variation submissions liaising with Homes England in securing additional funding. All works completed were eligible for BSF funding. The project remained on programme and within budget. The nature of the works meant that all apartments needed to be decanted. BWP managed the decant process liaising closely with leaseholders and occupiers of the building.
