BWP were appointed to provide administration services for the external restoration and repair works to the Grade 2 listed Collegiate Building in Liverpool City Centre.

Services lines involved include:-

  • Building surveying services
  • Contract administration
  • Cost consultancy

Our role

BWP were appointed to undertake all relevant surveys of the property to establish and identify external works elements which require repair and or replacement at the client request. BWP were responsible for compiling the design information before procuring and overseeing the tender process. BWP were also responsible for managing the works on site on behalf of the client and undertaking Contract Administration duties.  Due to the Grade 2 listing of the building all proposed repairs required Listed Building Consent which required BWP to obtain prior approval from the Local Authority Conservation officer.  BWP were in liaison with Local Authority representatives throughout the project to ensure the correct specifications and repairs were carried out which were sympathetic to the historic nature of the building and in keeping with the historic significance of the surrounding areas.
